Saima Ansari is a Patent Agent and a Patent Associate with the Chemical Department of Krishna and Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent search, patent prosecution, and patent opposition in chemical field.

Ms. Ansari is a postgraduate in Organic Chemistry from the Mumbai University. She has topped the Chemistry Department of Mumbai University at the B.Sc. level in 2003. She repeated this achievement in her Post Graduation in, Organic Chemistry, Department of Mumbai University in 2005. She is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Offices.

 

Gaurav Arora is a Patent Associate in the Engineering Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include patent search, drafting and prosecution of patent applications of mechanical, electrical, electronic and telecommunication inventions. His expertise include prior art searches, invalidation searches, patent prosecution and patent portfolio management in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Network Management Systems, VLSI (Design), Photolithography, Database Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, Magnetic Storage, Postage Stamps, Telecommunications and the like.
Mr. Arora is a Mechanical Engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. His prior experiences include working with the multinational giants in the automotive industry.

 

Molly Baxi is an Associate with the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include Trade Mark prosecution before the Trade Marks Registry. She also advises clients on anti-counterfeiting issues.

Ms. Baxi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and in Sociology from the University of Mumbai.

 

Hosakere L. Narendra Bhatta is a Senior Associate in the Patent Department with Krishna & Saurastri. Mr. Bhatta’s practice areas include search, patentability opinions and drafting of patent applications in the field of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Nano-technology, Medical Instrumentation, Material science, Electronics and Information Technology.

Mr. Bhatta holds a Masters Degree in Molecular and Crystal Physics, and a triple major Bachelor Degree with Physics, Mathematics and Electronics, from the Bangalore University. He also holds an M. Phil in Biophysics from NIMHANS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from the N.L.S.I.U, Bangalore. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Bangalore University. He has around ten years of experience in academic research at institutions like NIMHANS and Indian Institute of Science, and industrial research experience with pioneer biotech industries. Mr. Bhatta has also participated as a researcher at NLSIU in a W.H.O and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Union of India, sponsored project on the Impact of Off-shoring of Clinical Trials to India.

 

Uma G. Bhattad is a Patent and Trade Mark Agent and a Patent Associate with Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent search, drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the field of Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical and others.

Ms. Bhattad holds a Masters Degree in Law with a specialization in Intellectual Property Rights as well as a Masters Degree in Personnel Management from the University of Pune. She has done a Postgraduate Diploma in Child Psychology and a Bachelor of Sciences from Osmania University. She has been a lecturer, teaching law subjects including “Intellectual Property Law” with various Law Colleges at Mumbai and Nashik. She played a pivotal role in introducing the “Intellectual Property Law” subject in law colleges at Nashik. She is registered to practice before the Intellectual Property Offices, India and is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Ahibhusan De is a Patent Agent and heads the Engineering Department in Krishna & Saurastri. His experience in the sphere of patent law is both extensive and in-depth. His key areas of practice include patent prosecution, patent oppositions, revocations and litigation. Mr. De has extended critical advice to clients across a broad range of technologies, especially in the mechanical, chemical and pharmaceutical field.

Mr. De has a B.Tech. (Hons) Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Mr. De has valuable experience – having worked for 15 years as the Deputy Controller of Patents at the Indian Patent Office, Mumbai. This is in addition to working for 17 years as an Examiner in the Indian Patent Office at Kolkata. He has authored a number of articles in IP journals and industrial publications. Mr. De is a registered to practice before the Intellectual Property Offices of India.

 

Aliasgar Dholkawala is a Patent Assistant in the Life Sciences and Chemistry Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include patent search, drafting, data mining and prosecution of life science and pharmaceutical related inventions.

Mr. Dholkawala is a Graduate in Biotechnology from the University of Mumbai and has undertaken research in the field of biochemistry, as part of the National Initiative for Undergraduate Science (NIUS) at the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBSCE), Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC). Mr. Dholkawala is also pursuing a Degree in Law from the Government Law College, Mumbai along with a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade Management from Narsee Monjee Institue of Management.

 

Vivek Grover is a Senior Associate in the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri and a registered Patent Agent. His practice areas include prosecution, enforcement, opposition and litigation of Trade Marks and Copyrights. He has an extensive experience of more than 20 years and has been advising both domestic and international clients on various Trade Mark and Copyright issues.

Mr. Grover holds a Law Degree from the University of Delhi and is a member of several IP Associations. He is registered to practice before the Intellectual Property Offices, India and is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Shraddha Gujar is an Associate with Patent Department of Krishna & Saurastri. She is also an Advocate. Her practice areas include drafting, search opinion, prosecution, revocation and opposition proceedings, in the chemical and pharmaceutical arena. She also advises clients on Trade Mark, Copyright and Design issues.

Ms. Gujar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Science (Chemistry), from the University of Pune. She holds a Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence & Forensic Science, from Indian Law Society (ILS), Pune. She has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Patents & Practice, from Institute of Intellectual Property Studies (IIPS). She is pursuing an LLM from Pune University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi. Ms. Gujar is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Ashish Gupta is a Patent Agent and a Patent Associate in the Engineering Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include patent search, drafting and patent prosecution of electrical and electronic inventions. His expertise include drafting and prosecuting inventions related to Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Information Technology, specializing in the field of optical communication, cellular telephony, power electronics, computer networks and digital signal processing.

Mr. Gupta is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer. He is pursuing a Degree in Law from the University of Mumbai. Mr. Gupta has authored several articles in IP publications and has been an invited speaker on several occasions. He is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Offices.

 

Saltanat Jamil Jazbi is a Patent Agent and Patent Associate in the Engineering Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent search, drafting and patent prosecution of electrical and electronic inventions. Her expertise includes patent drafting and prosecuting inventions relating to electronics and telecommunication including semiconductors, digital signal processing, communication systems using optical fiber, coaxial cables, microwave etc. She is also experienced in drafting and prosecuting instrumentation, electrical and mechanical engineering related inventions.

Ms. Jazbi is an Electronics Engineer from the University of Pune, India. She also holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering. Formerly, she worked as a Lecturer, Dept. of Electronics and Communication. She has been an invited speaker on several occasions in academia and industry. She is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Offices.

 

Sunil B. Krishna is the Partner of Krishna & Saurastri. Mr. Krishna’s area of practice encompasses the entire spectrum of intellectual property management. He has to his credit vast and diverse experience in Patent and Trade Mark prosecution and litigation. In addition, he is actively involved in counseling a wide range of Indian and multinational clients in all matters in the IP arena. He has been playing a pivotal role in client counseling, especially in the development of patent portfolios, trade secrets, licensing, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

Mr. Krishna holds a Law Degree from the University of Bombay (Mumbai). Mr. Krishna is a member of several IP Associations and other professional organizations. He has addressed numerous professional groups on various issues related to intellectual property law, enforcement, licensing, franchising and transfer of technology.

 

Kiran Kumar is a Senior Associate in the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri and a registered Patent Agent. Her practice areas include Trade Marks prosecution, opposition and providing opinion on registrability of Trade Marks. She has been advising clients on management of Trade Mark portfolio for more than 25 years now. She also advises clients on issues relating to Copyrights and Designs.

Ms. Kumar holds a Law Degree from the University of Bombay (Mumbai). She is registered to practice before the Intellectual Property Office, India and is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Ruchika Kumar is an Associate Attorney in the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Ms. Kumar’s practice areas include Trade Marks, Copyrights and Designs prosecution including advising on infringement issues.

Ms. Kumar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Law Degree from the University of Delhi. She has also completed an advanced postgraduate diploma course in global sales and marketing management from NIS, Institute of Marketing. Ms. Kumar is registered to practice before the Trade Marks Registry and is also registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

R. Muralidharan is an Advocate and Patent Attorney, associated with Krishna & Saurastri and is a Partner with the Bangalore Branch. His practice areas include IP litigation, drafting of patent specifications, patent & trade mark prosecution.

Mr. Muralidharan holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology and a Masters Degree in International and Constitutional Law. He was a Research Fellow, Department of Legal Studies, University of Madras, (1984-1986) Assistant Professor, NLSIU, Bangalore (1988-1992) Visiting Lecturer, University Law College Bangalore (1993-1996), Infosys Research Fellow, National Law School of India University, Bangalore (2000 – 2002). He is also a visiting faculty at the National Law School of India, Bangalore, National Academy of Advanced Legal Studies & Research, Hyderabad and the National Law University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Mr. Muralidharan represented India in the Philip C. Jessup Fellowships International Moot Court Competition held at Washington D.C., U.S.A. (April, 1979). He participated in the International Visitors Program of Washington Graduate School (DA) on Intellectual Property Issues (1989). He is a recipient of the British Council Travel Grant (1989) and has also participated in the I.L.C. International Law Seminar, held at Palais Des Nations, Geneva, Suisse (1992) and was awarded a Diploma of attendance.

Mr. Muralidharan is registered to practice before the Bangalore High Court Patent Office and is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Thimmanna P. P. is an Associate Attorney in the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include Trade Marks, Copyrights and Designs prosecution and litigation. He has been advising clients on registrability of Trade Marks.

Mr. Thimmanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. He also holds an MBA with a specialization in HR from Symbiosis College, Pune. He is currently pursuing a PG Diploma Course in IPR from NLSIU, Bangalore. He is registered with Bar Council of India.

 

Toral K. Parekh is an Associate Attorney with the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri and a registered Patent Agent. Her practice areas include Patents and Trade Marks prosecution and advising clients on anti-counterfeiting issues. She has to her credit vast experience in Trade Marks search, analysis and counseling clients about filing Trade Mark applications. Her expertise also includes searching, filing, registering and maintaining of domain names.

Lakshminarayanan R. is a Patent Agent and an Associate and Partner with Krishna & Saurastri. Priyanki Saha is an Advocate and Legal Assistant Associate in the Litigation Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include Patents, Trade Mark, Designs, Copyrights, Geographical indications, Domain Names and Cyber Laws. She deals with matters relating to in Litigation, Opposition, Passing Off, Due Diligence and Assignments and Licensing.

Ms. Saha holds a B.Sc., LL.B (Law & Technology Honours) Degree from the National Law University, Jodhpur.

 

Sharvaree Sangwai is a Patent Agent in the Life Sciences and Chemistry Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent drafting, prosecution, and patent search in the field of biotechnology, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology.

Ms. Sangwai holds a postgraduate Degree in Biotechnology from the University of North Maharashtra. She has experience in plant tissue culture techniques. She has been a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology & Zoology. She is registered to practice before Indian Patent Offices.

 

Anjana Saurastri is an Associate with the Chemistry Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent searches and patent drafting relating to chemical inventions.

Ms. Saurastri is a postgraduate in Chemistry.


 

Manish Saurastri is the Partner of Krishna & Saurastri. He has demonstrated credentials in all aspects of intellectual property law and enforcement, especially in Patents, Trade Marks and Copyrights litigations. In addition to Patents and Trade Marks prosecution, his prowess extends to providing counseling to clients on all aspects involving the divestitures and joint ventures, anti-counterfeiting measures and passing off.

Mr. Saurastri has a Degree in Commerce and Law from the University of Bombay (Mumbai). He is associated with many professional organizations and is a regular speaker, articulating his views on IP laws, enforcement, licensing, franchising and technology transfers. He is registered to practice before the Intellectual Property Office India and is also registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Vasant Savangikar is a Senior Associate in the Life Sciences and Chemical Department of Krishna & Saurastri. He is also an Advocate and a Patent Attorney. His practice areas include patent drafting, managing patent portfolios in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical arena.

Dr. Savangikar holds a Doctorate Degree in Botany from the Marathwada University, Aurangabad and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Pune Law College. He has also acquired a Certificate in DNA Finger Printing and Related Techniques from Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India. He is a member of the Association for Promotion of DNA Finger Printing and other DNA Technologies, Society for Green Research and International Association of Plant Tissue Culture. He worked as Post Doctoral Research Fellow from 1978 to 1980 at CSIR. Dr. Savangikar has authored a number of articles in IP journals, publications and has been an invited speaker on several occasions in academia and industry. Dr. Savangikar is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Office.

 

Madhumita Sen is an Associate Attorney in the Trade Marks Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Ms. Sen’s practice areas include Trade Marks, Designs and Copyrights and prosecution before Trade Marks and Design Offices of India.

Ms. Sen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Arts from the University of Ranchi. She has also done Company Secretaryship from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi. She has experience in the field of intellectual property management and research from premium pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations of India for more than twelve years. She has been an invited speaker on several occasions in academia and industry.

 

Girish Sheth is a Patent Agent and Patent Associate in the Chemical and Engineering Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include patent search, patent drafting and patent prosecution in the chemical, mechanical and electrical and electronic engineering.

Mr. Sheth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a Process Engineer in the dyestuff and chemical industry. Mr. Sheth is registered to practice before the Indian Patent Offices.

 

Madhuri Tawri is a Patent Agent and a Patent Associate with the Chemical and Life Sciences Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Ms. Tawri’s practice areas include patent drafting, prosecution, and patent search in the field of biotechnology, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology. She has experience in drafting and prosecuting inventions related to food and industrial microbiology, immunology, recombinant proteins, gene markers, enzymes and others.

Ms. Tawri received a Postgraduate Degree in Microbiology from the University of Mumbai. She has prior experience of working with a US Patent Attorney and as a Patent Specialist in a pharmaceutical company in India. She is currently pursuing a Degree in Law from the University of Mumbai.

 

Utkarsh Tewari is an Advocate and Associate Attorney in the Litigation Department of Krishna & Saurastri. His practice areas include Trade Marks, Passing Off, Designs, Copyrights, IT, Corporate and Technology Law, Internet, Media Law and Cyber Law.

Mr. Tewari holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Pune and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, from Kanpur University. He has a Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and a Diploma in Labour Laws, from New Law College, Pune. Mr. Tewari is registered with the Bar Council of India.

 

Uchita Vohra is an Assistant Patent Associate with the Chemical and Life Sciences Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include patent drafting, search, and prosecution in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemistry.

Ms. Vohra holds a Postgraduate Degree in Biochemistry from the Mumbai University and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Mumbai.

 

Smita Vora is a Solicitor and Associate Attorney in the Litigation Department of Krishna & Saurastri. Her practice areas include IP litigation, banking, SEBI, FEMA corporate related issues, arbitration at Mumbai Stock Exchange, conveyance and property. Her expertise includes litigation, drafting, and negotiations and she has argued various intellectual property law matters in the High Court.

Ms. Vora holds a Masters Degree in Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organic Chemistry. She was a professor in K.C. Law College, Mumbai, Sydenham College of Economics and Commerce, Mumbai and Advani Law College, Mumbai. She has edited a book on corporate law written by Professor Nilima Chandaramani. She is a member of Incorporated Law Society, Mumbai. Ms. Vora is registered with the Bar Council of India.
