The full name, address and nationality of each applicant.
- The full name, address
and nationality of each inventor.
- At least one copy
of the complete specification in the English language,
with drawings, if any.
- The filing date
and application number of each corresponding foreign
application from which priority has to be claimed, if
any.
- A power of attorney
signed by each applicant or an authorised person of
each applicant.
Please note that an Indian application can claim priority
from a corresponding foreign application only if the
Indian application is filed within one year from the
date of filing of the corresponding foreign application.
It is possible to claim multiple priorities.
A certified copy of the priority document with a verified
English translation (if the priority document is not
in English) it shall be filed subsequent to the filing
of the Indian application claiming priority. The English
translation need not be notorised or legalized, but
it should accompany a certificate testifying to its
correctness by translators.
India is a signatory to GATT and a member of PCT. National
phase entry to India is possible through the PCT route.
PCT national phase application in India should be filed
within 31 months from the priority date.
For filing an application in India, the requisites are
applicable forms, a duly executed power of attorney
and recordal of change – assignment, if any. Upon
entrusting us with filing an application in India we
shall provide you with duly completed necessary forms
for your signature.
